Our goal

The Founder

As the founder of Society Dance, I believe in creating transformative experiences that go beyond technique—spaces where artistry, culture, and community converge. My vision for the Atlanta dance scene centers on bringing world-class instruction to our city while honoring the authentic cultural roots of each dance form.

I established Society Dance to bridge the gap between accessible learning and professional-level training. Through carefully curated learning experiences like IntensiveX, we connect our community with internationally recognized artists who bring both technical mastery and cultural authenticity to their instruction.

My approach is rooted in the belief that dance education should be holistic—encompassing not just movement, but musicality, cultural appreciation, and personal growth. I’m passionate about creating events that feel more like artistic journeys than typical workshops, where participants leave not only with new skills but with a deeper connection to the art form and each other.

Biomedical Engineer to Dance Visionary

What began as curiosity at a Georgia Tech Salsa Club meeting evolved into four years of community leadership while pursing a biomedical engineering degree and led to the realization that my true calling revolved around creating transformative experiences that honor both cultural roots and artistic depth.

The Launch Year

Exactly one year after graduating GT, I founded Society Dance with a bold vision to serve: Atlanta dancers deserved experiences that combine world-class instruction with authentic cultural connection and intentional curation, moving beyond surface-level workshops to create spaces where technique and heart converge

The Ecosystem in Action

Growing up in a Colombian family surrounded by music, I’ve been a lifelong consumer of dance as art. Now, through Society Dance’s intentionally designed experiences, we preserve culture, build careers, and create the supportive ecosystem where serious dancers discover parts of themselves they never new existed all while co-creating with like-minded partners
